Welcome to the Zipplife

Hi, you. I'm so glad you're here. Welcome you to the Zipplife. 

What is "Zipplife"? Is it a brand name, or a lifestyle perhaps? Well, yes and yes. Zipplife is a concept I came up with years ago, shortly after getting married. It's an interesting experience, changing your last name after getting married; I personally struggled with the decision even months after we happily tied the knot, because well, as exciting as it is to become a "Mrs." with a new last name, it felt like I was also actively discarding my maiden name and my former identity along with it. In hind sight, I feel silly about this now, only because I now realize my identity and who I am as a human is not defined by what my passport says. 

Ultimately, I decided to take his last name, and we would begin to build our Zipplife, together. 

In the years since then, Zipplife has blossomed into something else for me personally. It's become my reminder to chase my own happy; it keeps me focused on giving energy to the things (and people) who fill my heart and mind with positivity, make me shine, and help me grow. I refuse to believe that getting older means less learning, or less discovery. Life is full of possibilities, and finding delight in new experiences. Only by stepping outside of our comfort zone can we truly stretch our wings.

Regardless of what it means to me, I hope it will mean something to you, too, and I'm grateful to have this corner of the Internet to share with you.
